   An excellent novel on the social structure in Bengal during Mughal Emperor Akbar. The story is based on the historical fact of the life of a young Brahmin who later became a notorious dacoit who uprooted the caste inequality and social repression. The author used an unimitable style of narrative in a lucid language and in an extremely interesting way. I recommend it to meet the linguistic interest as well as to satisfy one’s desire to know the past.
