Cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties. Since time immemorial, the history of the game is replete with lot of numbers and records. But apart from those hardcore statistics, the game of cricket has something extra to offer – some fascinating characters and their amazing stories.
With cricket at its soul, this book is a collection of thirty handpicked stories that exhibit montages of human emotion – from rousing patriotism to absolute tomfoolery, from unbelievably-true-but-funny coincidences to just plain unlucky situations. The stories here don’t speak about any technical aspects of the game but of its human elements, which at times were
laughably idiotic and at times were full of bravado.
This book is not exactly a quiz book per se, but it definitely is a reverential homage to all the selfless souls associated with the world of cricket.
